A nation's flag is of great value as representing the nation as a whole - a national symbol.

As such, it should not be appropriated by politicians for sectional political purposes.

It is noteworthy that President Trump, as he has been, poses in fromt of a display of national flags and weas a flag pin on his lapel.

Unfortunately, our Pime Minister and some of his Ministers have been emulating such a blatant and hypocriticaal style - not the only Trump ploy and policy theey have tended to follow.

Beware ostentatious patriotism, the refuge of the rogue.
